Research interests:
Symplectic Geometry, Contact Topology, Hamiltonian Dynamics, Astrodynamics, Space Mission Design.
Short summary of current research:
Employing modern symplectic tools (e.g. Floer theory, or holomorphic curves) to study problems in celestial mechanics (e.g. the restricted three-body problem), or uniformly hyperbolic dynamics (e.g. Anosov flows). Studying exotic phenomena in contact topology, and foundational aspects of Symplectic Field Theory. Tailoring symplectic methods for astrodynamics and trajectory design for space missions, in collaboration with NASA engineers.
