Research interests:
Mathematical modelling and analysis, partial differential equations, pattern formation, reaction-diffusion equations, structured population model, multiscale analysis, dynamics of stem cell systems in development, regeneration and cancer, systems medicine.

Short summary of current research:
My research focus is mathematical modelling and analysis of dynamics of self-organisation and structure formation in multicellular systems. The research combines rigorous mathematical techniques with modelling and computation, and a close collaboration with experimentalists and clinicians. Specific applications include blood and neural stem cell systems in regeneration and cancer, organ development, and molecular and mechano-chemical mechanisms of developmental pattern formation. Mathematical areas of interest are partial differential equations, dynamical systems, and multiscale and singular perturbation analysis.
