Stellar Evolution, Massive Stars, Binary Stars, Stellar Mergers, Supernovae, Neutron Stars, Black Holes, Gravitational Wave Sources, Multi-D (Magneto-)Hydrodynamics, Machine Learning, Bayesian Statistic
Short summary of current research:
My research in theoretical and computational astrophysics is about the evolution and final fates of massive stars. This includes dynamic phases such as stellar mergers and the immediate pre-supernova evolution of stars. At the moment, there is a special focus on the question of which stars form black holes.
